Normally, celebrating wild fish and wild water on the Lower Deschutes River doesn’t include asphalt, sidewalks, electrical fixtures…and ODOT, but this was no ordinary celebration. This year’s Riverfest in Maupin did feature the usual, but festival-goers also took time to say “thanks” to ODOT for a big project in the little town along U.S. 197 in central Oregon.
